The Pottawattamie County Medical Examiner’s Office investigates unattended, unexpected, or public interest deaths throughout Pottawattamie County. Our main purpose is the search for a truthful, logical, and scientifically unbiased statement of the cause and manner of death of an individual.
We are committed to providing honesty, integrity, and support to the residents of Pottawattamie County. Iowa Code governs our program and we work closely with the Iowa Office of the State Medical Examiner in Ankeny, IA.
